My education includes:

A high school Diploma from Shawnee Mission Northwest in 1978.

A Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance from Arizona State University in 1983.

A Master of Arts in Music Theory and Composition from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1986.

A Doctor of Musical Arts In Saxophone Performance from the University of Kansas in 2006.

I did two years of full-time doctoral study in Saxophone Performance/Pedagogy, with a secondary emphasis in Jazz Studies at the University of Northern Colorado from 1986 to 1988
